7.1. Regulations and documents


Bachelor’s thesis types:

- 24 ECTS credit type: This type of bachelor’s thesis consists of a research project that involves 600 hours of work and is carried out under the supervision an academic tutor.

- 18+6 ECTS credit type: In this case, as part of their bachelor's thesis, students complete 240 hours of placements, distributed as follows:

  • 180 hours at an optician’s or a vision therapy or ophthalmology centre (exclusive FOOT centres)
  • 60 hours at the University Vision Centre

 After enrolling, and before starting a placement, students must submit the corresponding placement agreement to the secretary.

 Supervised placements and University Vision Centre shifts are assigned at the same times as the bachelor's thesis. Assignment of these activities is based on a student's academic record.

 Placements must be completed no later than 15 days before the thesis deposit date published on the academic calendar.
